It's a big test for Canton (3-1) as they head to South Williamsport (2-2) for a 7 p.m. kick-off on Friday.

The Warriors are coming off a hard fought win over Wellsboro, while has lost two straight to Montgomery and Athens.

"South has a solid football team and they always play physical football," said Canton coach Tyler Sechrist. "They are tough to play on their home field."

The Mounties are known for their strong run game, and will be a big test for Canton after they held Wellsboro to minus-8 yards rushing last week.

"We need to play fast and confidently and continue to improve our tackling," Sechrist said.

Typically in games like this it can sometimes be a battle of field position until somebody blinks.

"Every yard will matter in this game field position and special teams will play a huge role in the game Friday night," Sechrist said.

KEYS TO THE GAME

Canton - Keep the penalties to a minimum. Their defense came through last week as the Warrior offense battled through some penalty problems. They'll need to be cleaner this week against South.

South Williamsport - Don't lose Canton's receivers. Canton does a good job of finding the open guy, and getting their guys open, which is a big part of their big play pass game.

PLAYERS TO WATCH

Brayden Tucker, Canton, LB - Tucker had five tackles last week and a fumble recovery. He'll need a similar game this week against South.

Levi Butler, South Williamsport, RB - Butler led the team in rushing in last week against Athens.
