OWEGO, N.Y. — The Towanda girls cross-country team had three finish in the top 10 as they rolled to the team title at the Owego Invitational on Friday.

The Black Knights scored 69 points to claim the championship with NEB (153) in second. Troy (244) was seventh to round out local teams.

Towanda's Maris Cobb (18:23.6) won the race with teammate Izzy Larson (19:13.6) in third. Mary-Kate Eberlin (19:50.7) was 10th, Kenzie Brown (21:40.9) took 37th, and Taylor Aquilio (21:50.9) rounded out their scorers in 42nd.

Also for the Knights, Leila Cobb (22:41.5) was 52nd, and Lucie Gruson (22:45.6) came in 53rd.

For NEB Sophie Bennett (19:49) was eighth overall, with Julia Laudermilch (20:49.6) taking 23rd. Charlotte Martin (21:18.30 came in 32nd, Ruth Laudermilch (21:33.2) was 35th, and Bella Russell (26:08.1) took 111th.

Also for the Panthers, Riley Lamson (26:53) was 122nd, and Beth Bartlett (28:09.4) took 134th.

Christine Ward (20:16.1) led Troy, taking 16th, with Annika White (21:45.2) in 39th. Zoey Mann (23:53) was 74th, Kalynn Keltz (24:19.8) came in 83rd, and Sheridan Wilcox (26:07) was 110th.

Sara Van Noy (32:30.9) took 149th, and Petra Miller (32:59.4) finished 151st.

Wyalusing had four runners in the field, and were led by Reese Patrick (20:40.2) in 20th, as Camryn Gesford (20:47) took 21st.

Madelyn Clark (22:39.7) came in 51st, and Ireland Coates (24:39.3) was 87th.

Canton had two runners: Elizabeth Halbfoerster (22:32.2) took 50th, with Sarina Hess (23:35.7) in 71st.

In the junior high girls race NEB's Rory Manning (10:19.7) won while Towanda's Talia Dzurinko (10L46.1) was fourth.

The Black Knights were seventh in the team standings with 195 points. After Dzurinko Harper McCarthy (12:00.3) took 33rd, Mirabella Ackley (12:26.5) was 44th, Brionna Maynard (13:12.2) finished 78th, Brynlee Maynard (13:27.1) was 86th, and Madelyn Cox (14:27.9) came in 111th.

Also for NEB Adelaide Russell (11:11.9) was 16th, and Lydia Wolfe (11:56.9) came in 31st.

Wyalusing scored 245 points to take 10th.

Harlee Brigham (12:01.8) was 35th to lead them, while Graycen Cogswell (12:12.6) came in 38th. Katrina Wurzler (12:42.7) was 56th, Kynlee Gesford (13:21.5) took 84th, Stella Sheldon (13:39.8) was 92nd, Anna Insinger (13:57.6) took 104th, and Alyssa Allen (14:57.9) was 119th.

Troy was right behind in 11th with 287 points.

Mila Campbell (12:30.5) took 46th, as Jane Harper (12:41.3) was 54th.

Reagan Campbell (12:46.1) came in 59th, Adelyn Holmes (13:41.30 was 94th, Haylee Estep (13:54.9) finished 102nd, and Thea Boor (18:38.0) was 141st.
