WYALUSING — Wyalusing won their fifth straight match as they bested Athens, 3-1, during NTL volleyball action Saturday.

The Wildcats took the first set 25-16, but it was all Rams after that, winning the next three sets 25-17, 25-21, and 25-13.

"That first set was really about our girls getting accustomed to playing together in some different roles," said Wyalusing coach Elizabeth VanDerpool. "We were without two of our key starters today, so we had players stepping up and adjusting. What I loved was how they responded. In the next three sets they found their game, trusted each other, and you could see the confidence continue to grow. They played together, brought the energy, and showed the depth and resilience of this team. I'm really proud of the way they have stepped up for each other today."

Athens won the JV match 25-14 and 25-18.
