LIBERTY — Towanda's Josh Maye had two goals and two assists as the Knights nipped NP-Liberty, 5-4, in NTL boys soccer action Monday.

Lucas Vincent added two goals, with Ben Shrawder getting a goal, and an assist. Brayden Spencer had a helper, as well.

All nine goals were scored in the first half with NPL getting two in the first 10 minute to take an early lead.

Towanda responded with four goals in a span of six minutes to go up 4-2.

Vincent scored off Maye assists in a minute span, followed by Maye scoring unassisted less than a minute later.

Four minutes later Maye scored off a Shrawder helper.

NPL got a goal with 12 minutes to go with Shrawder making it a 2-goal lead again with six minutes left off a Spencer assist.

NPL cut it to one a minute later, but that's as close as they got.

Towanda out shot NPL 17-11 and had a 4-3 edge in corner kicks.

Blaiz Nichols made seven saves for Towanda.
