CANTON — It was a nail-biter at Canton as the Wyalusing girls picked up a sweep in the final dual meet of the season.

The Lady Rams edged NPM 27-28, while both teams beat Canton 15-50.

NPM went 1-2 while the Rams took three and fourth with Reese Patrick (21:44) and Camryn Gesford (22:40). 

Also for the Rams Madelyn Clark (23:42) was sixth, Marci Gowin (24:33) took eighth, and Ireland Coates (24:57) came in ninth.

Canton's Elizabeth Halbfoerster (23:20) was fifth overall with Sarina Hess (25:51) in 11th.

On the boys side NP-Mansfield edged both Canton (27-29) and Wyalusing (25-30), with the Rams beating Wyalusing (26-29).

Canton went 2-3 with Manuel Halbfoerster (17:55) and Landon Lake (18:22). 

Wyalusing's Parker Cunningham (18:44) was fourth, with teammates Griffin Sheldon (19:25) and Cody Tuttle (19:38) coming in seventh and eighth.

Garrett Gowin (20:08) was 10th, and Dominic Trowbridge finished 12th.

For Canton Kobi Hoover (20:30) took 11. Ryan Inman (20:50) was 13th, and Levi Vermilya (21:07) came in 14th.

Wyalusing's Harlee Brigham (12:05) was the top local girl in fourth with Canton's Jake Van Horn (10:44) the top local boy in second.
