FOOTBALL: TROY TAKES 4-GAME WIN STREAK TO NP-MANSFIELD (October 2, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
Troy (4-1) football is taking their 4-game win streak to winless NP-Mansfield (0-5) this Friday with a 7 p.m. kick-off.
The Trojans rolled past Wellsboro last week, and have been improving each week since their Week-1 loss to Montoursville.
The Panthers are coming off a 52-7 loss to CV last week.
NPM has scored in four of their five losses, and even has passed the 20-point mark twice, but defensively has given up 40 points or more in four of their five games.
KEYS TO THE GAME
Troy - Hit the big plays. The Trojans had two touchdown passes of 60-yards or more last week, and there's no reason that won't be open this week.
North Penn-Mansfield - Pick your poison. Troy showed last week they are more than just a ground and pound team. The Panthers will have to figure out how to take one away, and learn to live with the other.
PLAYERS TO WATCH
Logunn Heasley, Troy, WR/S - Heasley has always been a threat defensively, but last week showed he can catch passes, too, not just intercept them, with his 61-yard scoring catch.
Peyton Green, NPM, QB - Greene has four touchdowns passes this year, and has thrown for over 338-yards, showing that the Panthers are a threat through the air.
