GIRLS SOCCER: SULLIVAN FALLS TO MONTGOMERY (October 8, 2026)

MONTGOMERY — Sullivan County was tied with Montgomery at the half but the Red Raiders put two goals in during the second half to take a 4-2 win during Mid-Penn girls soccer action Thursday.
Quinn Pennella had a goal and an assist for the Griffins, as Paighton Durland also scored, while Sophia Livezey had a helper.
Charley Insinger had 13 saves for the Griffins.
Pennella put Sullivan up 1-0 with a goal at the 5:28 mark, followed by back to back goals from Montgomery's Brooke Knoebel for a 2-1 lead.
With under 12 minutes left in the half Durland scored for the 2-2 contest at the break.
Montgomery would get goals from Brijit Rupert and Miranda Staggert less than five minutes apart in the second half to get the win.
Sullivan County hosts CMVT on Saturday at 11 a.m.
