Northern Tier Sports Report
MONTOURSVILLE — A short-handed Troy girls soccer team was able to come away with a 1-1 draw at Montoursville on Saturday.
The Warriors got a goal less than nine minutes into the game, but Mallory Chamberlain found the equalizer with 4:48 left in the half.
Neither team yielded in the second half.
"Our team has worked hard this week on our effort, attitude and teamwork as well as touches," said Troy coach Wayne Pratt. "Today it showed the hard work paid off. Being down starters going into the game we all knew we had to go deep into the bench. The girls played hard for 80 minutes."
Montoursville out shot Troy 17-4 and had a 10-2 edge in corner kicks.
Izzy Renzi had 10 saves for the Trojans.
