VOLLEYBALL: TROY KEEPS PLAYOFF HOPES ALIVE WITH WIN OVER WYALUSING (October 13, 2026)

Northern Tier Sports Report
WYALUSING — Troy volleyball gave their playoff hopes another shot in the arm as they defeated Wyalusing, 3-1, during NTL Large School volleyball action Tuesday.

Troy improves to 6-9 on the season with the win with three matches left - they need to win all three to guarantee themselves a playoff spot.

Wyalusing, at 10-7, is already in the field.

"The girls had a great game tonight," said Troy coach Abby Herman-Deitrick. "Wyalusing definitely found our holes a few time but luckily in the third and fourth set we were able to recover on some key serving. Alexa Lawrence did a great job going on a serving run to bring us back into the game. Defensively we adjusted where we needed to, but I would say our offense found hole when we needed to. Haidyn Watson and Bella Wood both had great plays at the net consistently helping their team to a win. We stayed disciplined doing the things we needed to. The girls listened well to make adjustments offensively and defensively to get themselves another win. They pushed forward after losing the second set and outworked Wyalusing together."

Troy won the first set 25-15 with the Rams taking the second set 25-19. The Trojans took the final two sets 25-18, and 25-22.
