Wyalusing's Emily Johns has been a key player at the net for the Rams for the past several years, and now she's etched her name in the program's legacy by earning her 500th kill on Thursday.

"It feels amazing to achieve this big milestone," Johns said. "This has been a goal of mine since I started playing volleyball so it’s surreal to me."

As a freshman Johns saw spot playing on time and worked her way up to be a featured hitter the past two seasons.

"It’s taken a lot of hard work and dedication to get this point in my career," Johns said.

Every step of the way she's been joined by teammate Josie Ferris. Ferris to Johns has been going on for six years now, so it's fitting the two reached their milestone (assists and kills) this year.

"Josie and I have such a strong bond on and off the court and we’ve been playing together since seventh grade so to be a huge apart of each other’s milestones is amazing," Johns said.

With the season winding down the Rams are hoping to take this energy and use it in the upcoming district playoffs.

"We have the talent and the heart so I’m confident we will make a run in districts," Johns said.
