LIBERTY — Wyalusing gutted out a 5-set win over NP-Liberty, 3-2, during NTL volleyball action Tuesday.

NPL took the first set 25-19, but it was the Rams winning the next two, 25-21 and 25-10. The Mounties evened things up with a 25-21 fourth set win, but in the end it was the Rams pulling out the fifth set, 15-10.

"A great team win tonight," said Wyalusing coach Elizabeth VanDerpool. "Jalynn Herda really changed the momentum in the third set with some big serving aces. All of our girls brought their serving game tonight, which made a huge difference. Our hitters did a nice job finding the seams in NPL’s defense, and our passers kept us in system for most of the match, allowing us to run a strong offense. I’m proud of how the girls battled through all five sets and found a way to finish strong."

NPL won the JV match, 25-9 and 25-17.
