GIRLS SOCCER: SULLIVAN DOWNS WYALUSING IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE (October 24, 2026)
Northern Tier Sports Report
LAPORTE — Sullivan County ended their season with a 2-0 win over Wyalusing during non-league girls soccer action Saturday.
The Griffins got goals from Ansley Baldwin and Sophia Livezey, both in the second half.
Sullivan keeper Charley Insinger made nine saves, while Wyalusing goalie Sierra Gromley made four saves.
Wyalusing had a 24-12 edge in shots, though Sullivan had a 7-2 advantage in corner kicks.
"Our girls are learning hard lessons that they need to bring their all to every game and every field," said Wyalusing coach Katie Fischer. "We were not the team that showed up to play Athens last week. The positive is that we get to keep playing into districts and the girls have the opportunity to play the way they know they can."
Baldwin's goal came on a penalty kick with 26:14 left in the game, then Livezey scored with 3:28 to play.
Wyalusing will wait to see who they have in the district playoffs next week.
