AAU SOFTBALL: GREENLAND HELPS TITANS EARN GOLD BRACKET SPOT AT EYOTA TOURNAMENT (2021-07-10)

APALACHIN, N.Y. — The N.Y. Titans went 2-0-1 on the first day of the Eyota Classic Saturday, with Towanda’ s Shaylee Greenland having a big hand in that success.

They rallied from a 6-0 deficit to tie Rumble 6-6, then defeated Eyota 11-1 and Fury 9-4 to take the second seed in the Gold Bracket.

Greenland pitched against Eyota, striking out seven and allowing just two hits. She was just as strong at the plate, going 3-for-3 with a double.

She had 2-RBI in the other games, while playing second base, and first base.

She, and the Titans, will be back in action at 8 a.m. Sunday as they face the Fury in the Gold Bracket semifinals. If they win they will play in the finals at 10 a.m.
