NTL BOYS' SOCCER: NEB FALLS TO NPL 4-3 (22 PHOTOS) (2020-09-24)

Northern Tier Sports Report
ROME - In a back and forth contest North Penn-Liberty edged NEB 4-3 in NTL boys’ soccer action Thursday.

The Panthers got two goals and an assist from Brandon Kuhn but it wasn’t enough as the Mountaineer attack did a good job getting behind the NEB defense.

NEB led 2-0 early on back to back Kuhn goals, the second a penalty kick, but NPL rallied with two goals of their own before the half.

The Mounties started the second half where they left off in the first, notching back to back goals early for a 4-2 lead.

NEB retaliated as, on a direct kick, Kuhn found Julian Jampo in the box to cut it to 4-3. However, they weren’t able to get the equalizer and NPL picked up the win.

Four different Mounties scored as Aladin Jackson, Jackson Brionnas, Derek Litzelman and Zackary Wilcox all found the back of the net.

Both teams had 15 shots a piece as NEB had a 7-0 edge in corner kicks. Panther Garrett Cooper stopped 18 shots.

NEB falls to 2-2 on the season.
