ON TAP TODAY: CANTON-WYALUSING VOLLEYBALL HIGHLIGHTS A DAY FULL OF BIG GAMES (2021-10-19)

Northern Tier Sports Report
A busy day as NEB boys’ Pink Game is back on, while Canton travels to Wyalusing for one of the biggest NTL Division-II volleyball games of the season.

VOLLEYBALL

Canton (9-2) at Wyalusing (11-4), 7:15 p.m.: The Warriors lead Wyalusing by two games in the loss column, and just one in the loss column to Williamson, as they look to tighten their hold on the division. Wyalusing is playing their best volleyball of the season after upsetting Williamson.

NEB (9-4) at CV (1-13), 7:15 p.m.: The Panthers take the long trip out to Westfield as they try to keep pace with the other teams in their division.

Williamsport (12-3) at Towanda (6-7), 7:15 p.m.: A very important stretch for Towanda as they make a playoff push, beginning by hosting the Class 4A Millionaires.

BOYS’ SOCCER

Tunkhannock (3-2-1) at NEB (7-7-1), 4 p.m.: This game has bounced around a bit but will be played today as the Panthers will be having a Pink Out. NEB has two games left, and will need a win in at least one to make the district playoffs.

Sullivan County (6-7) at Towanda (2-15), 6 p.m.: The Knights are in the spoiler role as the Griffins are in the middle of a playoff push. A loss to Towanda may put districts out of reach.

GIRLS’ SOCCER

NRCS (7-2) at Cortland (6-3), 3 p.m.: North Rome travels up north as they look to get revenge against Cortland, who beat them in overtime in their last meeting.
