NTL VOLLEYBALL: WYALUSING ROLLS PAST SAYRE AS SUPERKO, NEWTON HIT MILESTONES (2021-10-21)

SAYRE — Wyalusing bounced back from their loss to Canton by sweeping Sayre 3-0 in NTL volleyball action Thursday.

The Rams won the sets 25-17, 25-23, and 25-13.

Sage Superko had 13 kills in the match to surpass 250 for her career, while also getting two aces, and one assist, while Priscilla Newton had 22 digs, an ace, and a kill. Newton also surpassed a milestone, hitting 750 digs for her career.

London Edwards had two aces, four kills, and nine digs as Sarah Watkins had two aces, five assists, and three digs.

Olivia Tewksbury notched two aces, and three digs as Emilee Otis had six kills, one block, 24 assists, and two digs.

Emily Girven notched three kills, while Anna Kipp had four kills, and three digs. Karissa Brown had four kills, an assist, and three digs, as Olivia Leichliter chipped in with a dig.

Reanne Rodriguez finished with nine digs and an assist.

It was Sayre taking the JV match, though, 2-1. Sayre won the first set 25-17, with Wyalusing taking the second set 25-17. Sayre won the deciding set 18-16. 

Wyalusing hosts Williamsport on Saturday.
