NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: TOWANDA SWIMMERS EXCITED TO BE BACK IN THE POOL (2021-11-30)

TOWANDA — The Towanda swimmers were back in the pool after Thanksgiving break on Tuesday as they gear up for another season.

“It’s great to have a more normal year,” said coach Evan Basse. “I can schedule my practices, I don’t have as much concern about school getting cancelled and us being off for two weeks, and things like that. I’m excited to have a regular-ish season.”

They’re a little lighter this year, especially with swimmers in and out due to Covid-19 protocols, but he likes the talent he has on hand.

“Numbers are down, but, as I understand, they’re down for all sports,” said Basse. “The fact that I some of everybody I’m happy with. I’d like to see the number higher, but I think that all coaches are in the same boat right now.”
