TROY'S WARD HEADLINES BRADFORD COUNTY GIRLS' SOCCER ALL-STAR TEAM (2021-12-05)

Northern Tier Sports Report
Troy captured their first NTL title in 11 years this past girls’ soccer season, and in doing so they were led by All-State player Emmi Ward. Ward’s defensive play and leadership makes her the Bradford County Girls’ Soccer Player of the Year.

The Trojan coaches, led by Wayne Pratt, are the Coaching Staff of the Year.

Despite finishing under .500 Towanda’s defense was still among the best, and that’s thanks in large part to center back Porschia Bennett, who is the Defensive Player of the Year.

Athens’ Hannah Walker proved tough to stop this season, and is the Offensive Player of the Year, with teammate Addison Wheeler the Newcomer of the Year.

The first team offense consists of Troy’s Addy Parker, Wyalusing’s Olivia Haley, and Olivia Spencer, and NEB’s Kayleigh Thoman.

On the midfield are Walker, Wyalusing’s Layla Botts, and Troy’s Camille McRoberts and Caelyn Pine.

The defense is made up of Ward, Bennett, Athens’ Caydence Macik, and Troy’s Grace Sherman.

Veteran Wyalusing keeper Pearl O’Connor is the first team goalie.

The second team offense is made up of NEB’s Melanie Shumway, Athens’ Alison Thoman, and NRCS’s Elizabeth Gorsline and Kara Simwale.

On the midfield is Wheeler, Troy’s Anneliese Getola, Towanda’s Anna Dunn, and NEB’s Kierra Thoman.

The defense consists of Athens’ Tagan Williams, Wyalusing’s Marissa Johnson, and NEB’s MyKayla Post and Maisie Neuber.

The second team goalie is Athens’ Karlee Bartlow.
