COLLEGE: TROY GRADUATE SEYMOUR GOES 1-2 AT DUALS TOURNAMENT FOR LEHIGH (2021-12-21)

Lehigh’s Sheldon Seymour, a Troy graduate, saw action at the Collegiate Wrestling Duals these past two days.

On the first day, Monday, they went 1-1 with a win over Central Michigan 25-6, but lost to top ranked Iowa 28-7. In their final dual on Tuesday they lost to No. 10 Missouri 26-9.

In their win over Central Michigan Seymour, wrestling a weight class up at 133, loss 3-2 to CMU’s Ja’Kerion Merritt.

Seymour was in the line-up again at 133 on Tuesday, this time losing to Missouri’s Connor Brown 7-4. Seymour was down 4-0 in the match, but rallied with two third period takedowns. However, it wasn’t enough to complete the comeback.

Seymour would get a win during an exhibition match on Monday, beating Penn State’s Baylor Shunk 14-2 at 125 pounds.
