NTL SWIMMING & DIVING: TOWANDA DROPS DUAL MEETS TO LEWISBURG (2022-01-22)

TOWANDA — Towanda dropped a pair of dual meets against Lewisburg during swimming action on Saturday, as the boys lost 72-21, and the girls fell 54-23.

Juliana Varner had a win for the Knights, taking the girls’ 100 free in 1:03.02, as teammate Noelle Rogers (1:34.09) was fourth.


Varner (2:22.22) was third in the 200 free, with teammate Zoie Lamphere (2:35.17) taking fifth. Teammate Marisa Wise (3:09.83) finished third in the 200 IM.


Rylee Martin (34.27) was fifth in the 50 free, with Rogers (37.03) sixth in the event.


Towanda’s 200 free relay of Varner, Rogers, Lamphere, and Wise was fourth in 2:11.41, with Martin (1:34.92) fourth in the 100 backstroke.


The Black Knight 400 free relay of Wise, Rogers, Lamphere, and Varner was third in 4:56.12.


On the boys’ side Towanda’s Luke Tavani (2:20.21) was second in the 200 free, with teammate Eric McGee (28.63) fourth in the 50 free. Alex Lantz (32.59) was sixth in the event.


Tavani (1:02.60) came in third in the 100 free, with teammate Sean Lauber (1:14.91) sixth. Lantz (6:33.66) came in third in the 500 free.


Towanda’s 200 free relay of McGee, Lauber, Lantz, and Tavani was fifth in 2:01.10. McGee (1:24.84) and Lauber (1:37.17) were fourth and fifth in the 100 backstroke.


The Knight 400 free relay of Tavani, Lantz, Lauber, and McGee was second in 4:35.61.
