NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING TAKES TWO DURING A DOUBLE DUAL (2022-01-25)

LIBERTY — Wyalusing ended their dual meet regular season with back to back wins during a double dual on Tuesday, beating NPL 48-25, and Williamson 43-15.

Against the Mountaineers C.J. Carr (113), Ayden Hunsinger (126), Hunter Manahan (152), and Nick Woodruff (215) all had falls, with Cade McMicken (132), Owen Hadlock (138), Skyler Manahan (145), and Zachary Fenton (285) getting forfeits.

They nearly had another win as at 189 Ram Alex Hunsinger lost a 6-5 decision to NPL’s Gaven Sexauer.

The Rams won eight bouts against the Warriors, as the highlight was Woodruff’s 19-4 technical fall over Williamson’s Mikey Sipps in 3:45. It was a match-up of two district qualifiers from a year ago, as Woodruff made the regional tournament, and Sipps finished one place out.

Also for Wyalusing Evan Johnson (106), Carr (113), and Ayden Hunsinger (126) all had falls, with Alex Hunsinger (189) getting a forfeit.

Skyler Manahan (145) and Hunter Manahan (152) both had major decisions, as well.

The Rams will be heading to the West Branch Tournament this Friday and Saturday.
