Towanda led 2-1 after the first inning, but a 2-run fourth from Troy put them on top 3-2. Troy added three more runs in the sixth to take a 6-2 lead.

The Knights rallied in the bottom half of the inning, scoring two themselves, but couldn’t quite get over the hump.

Greenland struck out 10 in the loss, while allowing eight hits, four walks, and six runs, four of which were earned.

In the top of the first Palmer led off with a double, followed by walks to Ridall and Champluvier to load the bases. After a second out was made Williams drew a walk to bring in Palmer.

Towanda used a 2-out rally in the bottom half of the inning to get on top, as Overpeck singled, followed by Johnson reaching on an error.

After a walk loaded the bases, Greenland brought in Overpeck and Johnson to go up 2-1.

In the fourth Kingsley led off with a hit, then scored off a Knapp hit. Knapp then scored on a Palmer ground out to put the Trojans up 3-2.

In the sixth Troy went with two outs, with Palmer doubling in Kingsley, who led off the inning with a walk. Ridall then hit a home run for the 6-2 lead.

In the bottom half Towanda loaded the bases with Greenland (hit by a pitch), Kunkle (walk), and Lily Schoonover (walk). Fulmer then singled in Greenland and Kunkle to cut it to 6-4.
