LEGION: TROY USES FAST START TO TOP TOWANDA (2022-06-29)

WYSOX — Troy edged Towanda 7-4 in Legion baseball action Wednesday.

Troy built a 4-0 lead thanks to a run in each of the first and third, and then scoring two more in the top of the fifth. 

In the top of the sixth they tacked on three more to make it 7-0, but Towanda responded with three runs themselves in the bottom half of the inning. In the seventh Towanda got one more to make it a 7-4 final.

Shane Austin led Troy, going 3-for-3 with three runs scored, while Joseph Frye was 2-for-3 with a double and a run scored. Frye also got the win on the mound.

Dawson Butts went 3-for-4 to lead Towanda, while Octavious Chacona went 2-for-2 with two runs scored.
