WAVERLY HOOPS CAMP WRAPS UP WITH AWARDS (2022-07-15)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWAVERLY, N.Y. — The Waverly boys’ hoops camp wrapped up on Friday, with several area campers bringing home some hardware.
In the youngest age bracket, Division-III, Troy’s Lucas Cress and Canton’s Owen Moore both made the defensive team. Canton’s Tryton Thompson and Towanda’s Dempsey Stevens were named to the all-star team, with the team champions being Cortland.
In Division-II Towanda’s Boom Thompson was named the MVP, along with being on the 3-on-3 title winning team, and the 1-on-1 champion.
Troy’s Evan Allen and Eli Ayres were named to the all-star team, with Wyalusing’s Mitchell Gesford making the all-defensive team. Bloomsburg were the team champs.
In Division-I Troy’s Spencer Martin was the hot shots champion, along with being named an all-star. Towanda’s Ben Shrawder was named to the all-defensive team, while Troy’s Trey Teribury was part of the winning 3-on-3 team. St. Peter’s were the team champions.
In the NBA Towanda’s Elias Shrawder was named to the all-star team. Troy’s Logan Prouty was part of the 3-on-3 title winning team, while the Warriors were the team champions.
