LADY LIGHTNING BLUE COMPETES AT TOURNAMENT (2022-07-20)

Northern Tier Sports Report
The Lady Lightning Blue 14U competed in a softball tournament over the weekend, going 1-2-1 in the process.

They went 1-1-1 on Saturday, falling to Nightmare 4-1, tying the Impact Panthers 5-5, then beating the Happy Valley Heat 10-4. On Sunday they lost to the Impact Panthers 10-3.


Against the Nightmare Hannah Berger (1-for-2), Kiarra DeLancey (1-for-1), and Savannah Finan (1-for-1) all had hits. Berger scored their run.


Makenna Callear struck out one in the circle.


In their tie against the Impact Panthers, Kelsea Moore went 1-for-3 with a home run, 2-RBI, and a run scored. DeLancey was 2-for-2, while Kynlee Kunkle (1-for-2), Ashlyn Neiley (1-for-3), Berger (1-for-2), and Olivia Thompson (1-for-2) also had hits. Kunkle, Neiley, Berger, and Callear all scored runs, as Neiley, Toni Herb, and Thompson each had an RBI.


Moore struck out three in the circle.


In the win over the heat DeLancey went 3-for-3 with a home run, 4-RBI, and two runs scored, while Herb was 2-for-2 with a double, two runs scored, and 2-RBI.


Berger went 2-for-2 with two runs scored, while Thompson was 2-for-3 with a run scored, and an RBI. Finan also went 2-for-3 with 2-RBI.


Moore scored twice, while Callear crossed home once.


DeLancey got the win in the circle.


In their Sunday loss Kunkle went 3-for-3 with an RBI, while Finan was 1-for-2 with two runs scored. Moore was 1-for-2 with 2-RBI, with Callear going 1-for-2 as well. Gretchen Schmieg scored a run.


Moore started, and went an inning, while DeLance pitched 3 2/3-innings with one strikeout.
