NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: TOWANDA BOYS 2ND AT LASAGNA INVITE (2022-09-17)
Northern Tier Sports ReportWYALUSING — The Towanda boys’ cross-country team packed their way to a second place finish at the Lasagna Invitational on Friday.
The Knights (64) edged out Elk Lake (65), and Wyalusing (70), while finishing just behind NEB (60).
The Knights had the tightest compression, just 34.7 seconds between 1-through-5.
Eric McGee (18:51.1) was 10th lead Towanda, while Luke Tavani (18:55.1), Nate Spencer (18:55.4), Jack Tavani (19:17.8), and Jacob Carr (19;25.8) were 12th through 15th.
Marisa Wise (22:56.3) was 11th for the Lady Knights, while the team took fifth with 103 points.
Madison Nonnenmacher (25:03) took 20th, Taylor Brennan (26:12.6) was 27th, Dixie Brown (26:14.1) came in 28th, and Noelle Rogers (27:45.1) was 35th.
In the junior high girls’ race Mary Kate Eberlin (12:10.4) was fourth, and Kenzie Brown (12:56.3) came in eighth, as the Knights were third as a team with 67 points.
Quentin Little (12:27.6) led the boys in the junior high race with a 14th place finish.
