NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: PARKER NETS FIVE IN TROY'S WIN OVER TOWANDA (2022-09-21)
Northern Tier Sports ReportEAST TROY — Addy Parker had a glut as Troy defeated Towanda 11-0 in NTL girls’ soccer action Tuesday.
Parker had an assist to go with her five goals, while Saydi Renzo and Caelyn Pine had two goals and two assists each. MaKenna Matthews had a goal, with two assists, as Chloe Swain scored, and Taralynn Barrett and Kylie Luner both had an assist.
The Trojans scored four goals in the first half, with Matthews finding Parker a little under six minutes in. Renzo then found Swain for a long ball 25-yards out that she put under the cross-bar.
Parker then got two more by the half, one unassisted, the other on a through ball from Pine just before the buzzer.
In the second half Parker got her fourth on a through ball from Renzo, followed by Parker finding Matthews for their sixth goal.
Pine notched in a long shot unassisted, with Barrett then finding Parker for her final goal with 21:35 on the clock.
Renzo then scored off some quick passing of Matthews to Pine, while Pine got another long shot to go in. In Troy’s final goal Luner found Renzo with 20 seconds left to play.
Troy had a 28-6 edge in shots, and 6-1 advantage in corner kicks. Brooklyn Wentzel and Madelyn Seeley had two saves each for the Trojans, while Athena Chacona made six saves for Towanda.
Troy hosts NPM on Thursday while Towanda welcomes Athens for their annual Pink Game.
