ATHENS — Wyalusing dropped a tough 2-1 decision to Athens during NTL girls’ soccer action Tuesday.

Layla Botts had the Ram goal off a Chloe Bennett assist.

Alli Thoman and Addy Wheeler had the two Wildcat goals.

Sophia Alvarez made nine saves in net for the Rams.

The loss drops Wyalusing back to one game behind NEB and Troy in the loss column for the league race, while it keeps Athens’ chances afloat, as they have two league losses, as well.
