NTL VOLLEYBALL: CANTON TOO MUCH FOR CV (2022-09-29)

CANTON — Canton volleyball was able to stay unbeaten in NTL Division-II action on Thursday, as they defeated CV 3-1.

The Warriors won the first set 25-15, but lost the second 25-21. They took care of business the next two, winning the third 25-14, and the fourth 25-16.


Aislyn Williams had 11 points, 14 kills, 13 digs, one block, and one ace for the Warriors, while Allyson Butcher added 13 points, five aces, two kills, 41 assists, and 12 digs.


Jillaney Hartford added 13 kills, 12 points, seven digs, one block, and one assist, as Kendall Kitchen had 14 points, four kills, and three digs.


Keri Wesneski added six points, three aces, 13 kills, and eight digs, with Marissa Ostrander getting 14 points, two aces, and seven digs.


Chelsea Lehman had five kills, Gabby Spencer added three points with an ace, and Madison Hulbert chipped in with three digs.


CV won the JV match 2-1, taking the first set 25-17. Canton won the second set 25-20, but the Indians won the deciding set 15-13.


Addilyn Pepper had two aces, three kills, six digs, and one assist for Canton, as Tara Gilbert added two aces, four kills, and four digs.


Abbey Marbaker had three kills to go with eight digs, while Lehman had two aces, two kills, and four digs. Allyson Marbaker notched a dig with two aces, as Kitchen and Gabby Thursby had three digs a piece.
