NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: TOWANDA BOYS FINISH 6TH AT NEPA INVITATIONAL (2022-10-01)

BLOOMSBURG — The Towanda boys took sixth at the NEPA Invitational on Saturday.

The Knights finished with 160 places, as Danville won with 43.


Eric McGee (18:01.7) was 28th to lead Towanda, while Nate Spencer (18:03.4) took 30th. Luke Tavani (18:29.2) came in 40th, Jack Tavani (18:35.8) finished 41st, and Jacob Carr (18:39) was 44th to round out the Black Knight scorers.


On the girls’ side Towanda (278) finished 11th overall, as Danville (76) edged St. Mary’s (77) for the team title.


Marisa Wise (23:08.7) was 57th to lead Towanda, with Taylor Brennan (24:32.1), Dixie Brown (24:31.2), and Madison Nonnemacher (24:32.3) all taking 74th to 76th.


Gracie Carter (27:30.2) took 97th to round out Towanda’s scorers.


In junior high girls’ action Kenzie Brown (12:53.7) took 18th, while on the boys’ side Quentin Little (12:17.7) finished 43rd. The boys were 15th as a team with 369 places.
