NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: NICK REYNOLDS TAKES OVER THE COACHING REIGNS AT WYALUSING (2022-11-21)

WYALUSING — The Wyalusing girls’ basketball team is under a new coach in Nick Reynolds as they look to improve upon last season’s campaign.

Reynolds, a former Athens hoops star, has been looking to break into the coaching ranks when the job opened up.

“I have a passion for basketball, they had an opening,” explained Reynolds. “They had an opening, I applied for it, and got it. I’m glad to be in the mix of things.”

Reynolds cut his teeth as an assistant under Cody White at Athens years ago.

“Cody’s a great coach, I got to learn under him,” said Reynolds. “I got to play for Jim Davis up at Athens - a great coach and mentor.”

Reynolds will have longtime assistant Bill Lutz helping him through his first year, another person he sees as a mentor.

He’s also looking forward to go against some of the area’s top girls’ coaches this season.

“I’m super excited about being in the mix,” Reynolds remarked. “Coach Gentile in Towanda, he’s a phenomenal coach. Coach Bob Fauver at Sayre, Brian Miller at Athens, these guys have been around coaching since I’ve played, and it’s exciting to be able to go nose to nose with them.”
