NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: CURTIS MILLER EXCITED TO BE LEADING THE LADY TROJANS (2022-11-23)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTROY — There was a buzz at Troy’s practice as the girls’ basketball team hit the court.
The Lady Trojans are now under the direction of last year’s JV coach Curtis Miller, who takes over the head coaching spot from Marshall McNeal.
“It’s very exciting,” Miller said. “Serving under my mentor, Marshall, the past two years, was a great learning experience for me. Now, with bringing back, basically, all of our girls from last year except Sydney Taylor, it’s very exciting.”
Replacing Miller as the JV coach is Abby Herman, bringing a lot of youth to the Trojan coaching staff.
“Overall, it’s just an exciting time to be part of the Lady Trojan program,” remarked Miller.
Seeing the teams he will be facing from the bench the last two years gives Miller a good idea of what he’ll be going up against.
“I’ve learned that the NTL is very strong,” he said. “That everybody competes to their full potential. I think we’re right where we need to be, and I’m excited to see how things pan out this year.”
