NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: KINGSLEY LEADS TROY PAST CV (2023-01-18)

WESTFIELD — Rachel Kingsley was perfect from the field as she led three Trojans in double figures during their 50-15 win over CV in NTL girls’ basketball action Wednesday.

Kingsley went 7-for-7 in field goals en route to a double-double of 15 points and 12 boards, plus two steals and three blocks.


Katie Lackey added 11 points, six boards, and three blocks, as Alyssa Parks finished with 11 points, as well.


Kailyn Sterling had five points and six rebounds, with Makenna Matthews getting four points to go with two steals.


Kendall Allen and Amber White finished with two points apiece, as Ella VanNoy added three boards and two steals, and Gloria Andrews picked up two steals.


The Trojans had just five turnovers in the contest, while picking up 11 steals.


Troy jumped out to an 8-0 first quarter lead behind six points from Kingsley.  Their offense picked up in the second as they hit seven field goals en route to a 16-point performance, giving them a 24-4 lead at the half.


Lackey went off in the third with seven points as they out scored the Indians 13-7, pushing their lead to 37-11.


In the final frame Parks had five points as Kingsley netted four en route to the 35-point win.


Troy (9-4) hosts NP-Liberty on Friday.
