NTL BOYS' BASKETBALL: TOWANDA FALLS TO NP-MANSFIELD AT HOME (2023-01-26)

TOWANDA — NP-Mansfield used a 13-2 second quarter run to pull away from Towanda, 60-34, during NTL Division-I boys’ basketball action Thursday.

Elias Shrawder led the Knights with 12 points, as Justin Schoonover finished with 11. Teagan Irish and Will Shrawder had four points each, while Logan Lambert netted three.

Karson Dominick had 24 points to lead the Tigers.

NPM led 19-9 after the first quarter behind seven points from center Brody Burleigh, while Schoonover had four points to lead Towanda. 

Irish had Towanda’s lone second quarter points as Towanda led 32-11 at the half.

The Knights dug in defensively in the third, holding NPM to just nine points, but only mustered seven of their own, led by Elias’s four points.

Towanda found the range in the fourth, going off for 16 points, as Schoonover led them with six, and Elias added five. However, Dominick scored 10 himself for the Tigers as they pulled away.

Towanda (8-8) will play host to Wellsboro next Tuesday.
