NTL WRESTLING: WYALUSING SEES THREE REACH THE PODIUM AT ULTIMATE WARRIOR (2023-01-28)

WEST BRANCH — Three Wyalusing wrestlers came away with medals at the Ultimate Warrior Tournament on Saturday.

C.J. Carr (127) took fourth, Ayden Hunsinger (152) was fifth, and Cole Patrick (114) came away with sixth.

Carr lost in the semifinals 7-1, but then won 8-1 in the consolation semifinals. In the third place bout he lost 4-3 to Midd-West’s Matthew Smith to finish fourth.

Ayden won two straight in the consolations to start the day, the first 4-3 and the second 6-1. He lost 8-0 in the consolation semifinals, but then won by medical forfeit in the fifth place bout.

Patrick lost 11-4 in the semifinals to Sullivan County’s Colton Wade. Patrick then lost a pair of decisions - 6-4 and 2-1 - to take sixth overall.

Alex Hunsinger (189) lost his opening match on the second day, 8-1, and went 3-2 for the tournament. Jonathan Earle (133) also lost his opening match on the second day and went 3-2, as well.
