COLLEGE: TOWANDA GRAD MAYNARD GETS TWO HITS IN COLLEGE DEBUT (2023-03-05)

LITTLE RIVER, S.C. — Towanda graduate Maddie Maynard saw her first action at Penn State-Altoona at the Fastpitch Dreams Spring Classic on Sunday.

PSU-Altoona went 1-1, beating Martin Luther College 9-1, but then falling 7-1 to Cazenovia College in the nightcap.

Maynard contributed to the win, going 2-for-4 with a double, two runs, and an RBI in her college debut. She kept a rally going in the fifth, hitting a 2-out RBI single, followed by a 2-run double from her teammate to open up a 6-1 lead.

They’ll have seven more games during the classic this week.
