TRAVEL VOLLEYBALL: VALLEY-BASED NORTHERN TIER VOLLEYBALL CLUB 16U TEAM WINS TICANN INVITATIONAL (2023-03-14)

TIOGA CENTER, N.Y. — The Northern Tier Volleyball Club 16U Team claimed first place here Saturday at the TiCann Invitational Tournament.

The 16U team, coached by Troy High Abby Herman, is comprised of: Sydney Field, Annaleise Geisinger, Keaton Wiles and Meghan Wiles — of Athens; Mazlin VanDuzer of Sayre; Alyssa Dulaney of Towanda; and Aryana Andrus, Brenna Jackson, and Josie Kerrick — of Troy.

Also on Saturday, the club's 14U team placed second in its division. Coached by Josh Lundy. the team includes Alli Bailey, MaeLeigh Deitrick, Peyton Jennings — of Troy; Averi Grohol, Ruby Kocsis, Emma Mallare, Kayla Severcool, and Ella Yaeger — of Athens; Peyton Black of Sayre; and  Vayda Bryan of Canton.

The 18U did not play in the TiCann Invitational. Its roster includes: Kassie Babcock, Ella Coyle, and Cassie Friend — of Athens;  Elizabeth Boyle and Makenna Garrison — of Sayre; Rachel Jackson of Troy; and Liliana Smith, Ashlen Croft, and Erica Ryck — of Waverly.

The Northern Tier Volleyball Club (NTVBC) is a new travel team based in the Valley.  It currently has 14U, 16U and 18U teams that consist of players from Sayre, Athens, Waverly, Troy, Towanda, and Canton.
