NTL TRACK & FIELD: SEVERAL NTL ATHLETES HAVE HIGH SEEDS FOR PIAA CHAMPIONSHIPS (2023-05-22)

The performance lists for the PIAA Championships are out, and one NTL team has a top seed.

Williamson’s 4x800 is seeded first at 8:02.70, just ahead of Greenwood (8:07.65), Hughesville (8:08.43), and Quaker Valley (8:08.63).

Also on the boys’ side Williamson’s Kristian Mizdail (4:24.36) is seeded 10th in the 1600 and seventh in the 3200 at 9:31.54. District IV has the top two seeds in that event.

Williamson’s Owen Cummings is seeded fifth in the 800 in 1:57.66, while teammate Nathaniel Welch is seeded ninth at 1:58.24. NPM’s Zack Wilcox is seeded 14th out of 29 in 1:58.84.

Welch is seeded 19th in the 3200 in 9:47.79, with teammate Duncan Kerr seeded ninth in the 300 hurdles at 40.17.

In the field Canton’s Kyle Kapichok is seeded ninth in the discus at 148-feet, 10-inches, while Towanda’s Logan Lambert is seeded 12th in the triple jump at 43-feet, 1/2-inch. Wellsboro’s Aiden Gehman is seeded 24th in the long jump at 20-feet, 11 1/2-inches and teammate Kyle Mosher is seeded 12th in the high jump at 6-feet, 1-inch.

On the girls’ side NEB’s Gracelyn Laudermilch is seeded third in the 2-mile at 11:06.66 and seeded sixth in the 1600 in 5:15.63. Athens’ Sara Bronson is seeded fourth in the 3200 in 11:13.44.

Wyalusing’s Olivia Haley is seeded fourth in the 400 in 59.26, though there are 14 girls separated by one second from 59.26 to 1:00.26. Towanda’s Anna Dunn is seeded 10th in 59.62.

Towanda’s 4x400 relay is seeded fifth in 4:04.52 and their 4x100 is seeded 19th out of 29 teams in 50.61.

In the triple jump Wellsboro’s Annika Gehman is seeded 21st in 35-feet, 1-inch.
