NTL VOLLEYBALL: TOWANDA FALLS TO WILLIAMSON 3-1 (2023-09-26)
Northern Tier Sports ReportTOWANDA — Towanda battled District IV power Williamson on the court Tuesday, but fell 3-1 during NTL volleyball action.
The Warriors took the first two sets 25-19 and 25-15, but the Knights rallied for a third set win, 25-20. Williamson would pull out the victory with a 25-19 fourth set victory.
Brooklyn Evans had five kills, three points, eight blocks, and eight digs as Brynn Woodruff had seven kills, three digs, two points, and an ace.
Shay Greenland had 11 assists, six digs, one block, and two points, while Karis Flynn had 10 assists, one dig, three blocks, two kills, three points, and an ace.
Caedence Wells had nine points, seven aces, and five digs, as Layla Miller chipped in with 12 digs. Brynsen Vargason added seven digs, four points, and two aces.
Towanda lost the JV match 25-22 and 25-16.
Alayna Rankin had eight points, four digs, four assists, and an ace, as Leila Cobb had two kills, seven points, an ace, with three digs.
Lilyann Sproule notched two kills, one block, four digs, three points, and an ace as Hannah Crawford had seven points, three aces, one kill, with two digs.
Vargason had four digs, two points, with an ace, while Lariah Long finished with seven digs, one kill, one point, and one ace.
Kylee Barnes had a kill with two blocks, as Layla Longcoy notched two digs, one assist, and one point.
Towanda travels to Troy on Thursday.
