NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: NEB BOYS, GIRLS STAY UNDEFEATED (2023-09-27)
Northern Tier Sports ReportMANSFIELD — Northeast Bradford boys and girls cross-country stayed undefeated in the NTL on Tuesday with wins over Troy and NP-Mansfield.
The Panther boys won 17-41 against Troy and 19-44 against NPM. Troy defeated NPM 20-43 to stay undefeated in their division.
NEB’s Creed Dewing (16:50) held off NPM’s Michael Knefley (17:18) to get the win. The Panthers then took the next three spots with Ayden Finch (17:34), Aidan Kapr (17:34), and Ryan Jones (17:51).
Troy’s Brody Campbell (18:24) and Evan Geer (18:24) were sixth and seventh, while NEB’s fifth, Dayton Russell (18:33) rounded out their scorers in eighth.
For the Trojans Hart Houseknecht (18:56) took 10th, Frank Harper (18:58) was 11th, and Mason Wulff (19:09) came in 12th.
On the girls’ side NEB defeated Troy 21-40 and NPM 23-32. NPM edged Troy 26-34.
NEB went 1-2 with Gracelyn Laudermilch (20:06) and Anaiah Kolesar (20:28). NPM’s Jaci Fairchild (20:43) was third, followed by Troy’s Alyssa Parks (20:48). Rounding out the top five was NPM’s Madelynne Johns (21:08).
Troy’s Katie Lackey (21:34) took sixth, with NEB’s Lilah Hughes (21:54) seventh. Also for the Panthers Amelia Kapr (22:21) was ninth, Kara Dughi (23:04) took 10th, and Makenna Callear (24:46) rounded out their top five in 15th.
For Troy Sheridan Wilcox (26:59) was 19th, Ellie Spalding (29:14) took 22nd, and Izzie Culkin (36:00) finished 23rd.
In the junior high race the top boy was NEB’s Jackson Martin (10:19) and the top girl was Panther Janna Laudermilch (10:31).
