NTL GIRLS' TENNIS: TOWANDA FALLS TO SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT IN REGULAR SEASON FINALE (2023-09-27)

TOWANDA — Towanda girls’ tennis fell 5-0 to South Williamsport in their regular season finale Wednesday.

At first singles Towanda’s Lainey Alderfer fell 6-1, 6-3 to South’s Sadie Stahl, while at second singles Katey Calaman lost to Mountie Livy Harvey 6-0, 6-0.

At third singles Towanda’s Nadia Alderfer fell 7-5, 7-5 to South’s Emma McLaughlin.

At first doubles Towanda’s team of Alyse Bass and Olivia Reeves lost 6-0, 7-5 to Olivia Jackson and Emily Holtzapple.

At second doubles the Knight duo of Emma Walter and Maddy Blanchard fell 6-0, 6-1 to Mia McNaul and Sidney Ertel.

In exhibition action Towanda’s team of Gretchen Brown and Jayden Conklin split with Caroline Melvin and Harley Silvagni 1-6, 6-5, as Lainey Alderfer and Calaman beat Jocelyn Bentley and Peyton Coulidge 6-3.

Towanda’s team of Nadia Alderfer and Reeves won 6-1 over Ava Foote and Carley Loudenslager.
