One big girls’ game and a host of boys’ games on tap for today.

GIRLS’ BASKETBALL

Towanda (2-0) at NEB (3-1), 6 p.m.: The meeting of the two NTL defending champions. The Panthers get the best of Towanda a year ago as both teams look to defend their titles this year.

BOYS’ BASKETBALL

Wellsboro (0-1) at Canton (3-0), 6 p.m.: The Warriors put their undefeated streak on the line as they host the Hornets. Canton beat Sayre, CV and NEB last week while Wellsboro lost to Athens in their opener.

NP-Mansfield (0-0) at Wyalusing (0-1), 6 p.m.: While some teams have as many as four games in this will be the Tigers’ opener and the Rams’ season opener. Wyalusing pulled out a win over Sayre last week.

NEB (0-3) at Towanda (1-0), 6 p.m.: The Knights will look to improve to 1-0 after beating Williamson last week while the Panthers will be looking for their first win of the season after close losses to Sayre, Canton and Athens.

Northwest (1-2) at Troy (2-0), 7:30 p.m.: The undefeated Trojans, with wins over Athens and Williamson, will welcome the Rangers for a non-league match-up. Northwest beat Millville (46-21) but has losses to Tunkhannock (52-50) and South Williamsport (52-29).
