TOWANDA JH GIRLS TOP CANTON IN HOOPS ACTION (2023-11-18)

Towanda spread the ball around to edge Canton 39-10 during junior high girls' basketball action on Saturday.

Taylor Aquilio led Towanda with eight points and Ali Hollett scored seven. The trio of Maris Cobb, Mary Kate Eberlin and Reese Sullivan each netted six points.  Kenzie Brown dropped four points and London Decker had two points.

For Canton, Lindley Sechrist led the way with five points while Lucy Proseus added three points and Kendall Petrowski two points.

Towanda took home the win in the B game 30-8. Ily Benjamin and Maris Cobb each scored eight points while Lennon Rice and Kaylen Sluyter each netted four points. Maci Alexander, London Decker and Secret Salsman dropped buckets for two points each.

Isabella Roup and Amelia Pepper each tossed in four points for Canton.
