NTL CROSS-COUNTRY: NEB'S DEWING HEADLINES BC BOYS' CROSS-COUNTRY ALL-STARS (2023-11-28)
Northern Tier Sports ReportIt was another strong year for Bradford County’s boys runners, highlighted by NEB’s Creed Dewing earning his third straight state medal.
Dewing was also undefeated during the NTL dual meet season, and claimed his second straight District IV, Class A title, making him the Bradford County Boys’ Cross-country All-Stars Runner of the Year.
Athens’ Graham Wanck put together a very good freshman year. Wanck was top three at the NTL Coaches’ Invitational, earned a state berth from the always tough District IV, Class AA Championships, and was the highest freshman finisher at the PIAA Championships, which earned him the Newcomer of the Year.
The Northeast Bradford Panthers went undefeated in the NTL dual meet season, while easily winning the District IV, Class A boys’ title. They finished seventh overall at the PIAA Championships in a tough Class A division, all led by coach Adam Russell, who is the Coach of the Year.
The first team consists of Dewing, Wanck, NEB’s Aiden Kapr, Wyalusing’s Trennan Tewksbury, and Towanda’s Jack Tavani.
On the second team are NEB’s Aydin Finch and Dayton Russell, Towanda’s Jacob Carr and Eric McGee, Troy’s Evan Geer, and Canton’s Lawrence Halbfoerster.
The third team consists of NEB’s Dayton Russell, Ryan Jones, and Brayden Miller, Towanda’s Wyatt Stranger, and Troy’s Brody Campbell and Frank Harper.
