NTL GIRLS' SOCCER: TOWANDA'S DUNN HEADLINES BRADFORD COUNTY ALL-STAR TEAM (2023-11-29)
Northern Tier Sports ReportIt was another exciting year for NTL girls’ soccer with plenty of big individual performances throughout the year.
Towanda’s Anna Dunn, though, may have had the biggest individual performance of the season, leading the league in scoring with 45 goals as she helped the Knights get back to the playoffs. That’s good enough to be the Bradford County All-star’s Girls Soccer Player of the Year.
Wyalusing’s Olivia Haley had another big season, netting 37 goals and 10 assists as the Rams reached the District IV, Class A semifinals again. Her performance gets her the Offensive Player of the Year honors.
Troy’s Alexis McRoberts led another tough Trojan defense, and had the biggest leg in the league, using it to score four goals and have five assists from the defensive mid-field position. She’s the Defensive Player of the Year.
There are Co-Newcomers of the Year with Troy’s Giana Renzi and Athens’ DeLanie Patton. Renzi helped power Troy’s attack, finishing with eight goals on the season, while Patton was key to the Wildcat attack from the midfield position.
Troy’s Wayne Pratt, and his staff, are the Coaching Staff of the Year. Despite another year of high turnover the Trojans claimed their fourth straight NTL title, and did it without losing a league contest.
