NTL GIRLS' BASKETBALL: WYALUSING FALLS IN SEASON OPENER (2023-12-02)

NEW MILFORD — Wyalusing girls’ basketball dropped their season opener, 68-35, to a tough Blue Ridge squad during the Susquehanna-Bradford County Challenge Friday.

The Rams stayed within striking distance at the half, down 36-23, but Blue Ridge pulled away in the second half, out scoring Wyalusing 32-12.

Chloe Bennett led Wyalusing with eight points behind two 3-balls, while Alysha Botts and Emily Johns scored six points apiece.

Emily Fowler and Alissa Baldwin both netted four, Treanna Nickeson notched three, while Rachel Wilson and Josie Ferris rounded out the scoring with two points apiece.

Wyalusing finishes up the challenge with Susquehanna, back at Blue Ridge High School, with a 1:30 p.m. start time Saturday.
