NTL GIRLS' BAKSKETBALL: TOWANDA DROPS OPENER TO LOYALSOCK (2023-12-03)

FAXON — Towanda girls’ basketball dropped their season opener to Loyalsock, 79-17, on Saturday.

The Lancers jumped out to a 36-7 first quarter lead and never looked back in the win.

Brynn Woodruff had six points, five boards, and four blocks to lead the Knights, while Payton Perry had four points, and four rebounds.

Alonna Ayres notched four points with Melody Hakes getting two points and two steals.

Kennedy Heyer chipped in with two points, as Karis Flynn picked up two steals.

Alaina Dadzie led Loyalsock with 19 points, while Lacey Kriebel and Jackairah Harden had 15 points apiece.

Towanda opens NTL play by hosting Sayre on Tuesday with a 6 p.m. start.
