YOUTH: CANTON TO SEND A CONTINGENT OF GIRLS' WRESTLERS TO PITTSBURGH (2024-01-09)

Canton will be sending a contingent of girls to Pittsburg this weekend as part of the ultimate club show down duals.

Two of the three junior high wrestlers, Skylar Gowin and Hailey Petrowski, will be there, along with elementary wrestler, Parker Hoover. The junior high team is coached by former Canton wrestler Miah Lehman, while third member, Danika Burgess, won’t be able to make the trip.

Parker will be competing on the PA West team, then wrestling against the boys in the individual tournament - The Battle of the Belt. 

Parker is excited to join the older girls for the trip, as they hope this will be a step towards Canton forming a girls’ squad one day.
