SULLIVAN HAS TWO REACH SEMIFINALS AT REGIONALS (2024-03-02)

WILLIAMSPORT — Sullivan County got two into the semifinals at the Northeast Regional Tournament Friday.

Colton Wade (121) and Kruz McCusker (127) both made it to the final four of the championship bracket, while Andrew Kapec (107) went 1-1 to fall into the consolation bracket.

The defending champion Wade earned a pin over Milton’s Ty Locke in 3:27 in his only match of the day. He’ll face Hughesville’s Chase Shaner in the semifinals.

McCusker won 7-0 over Western Wayne’s Landon Morcom in the quarterfinals, and will face Montoursville’s David Kennedy in the semifinals.

Kapec opened with a fall over Honesdale’s Reese Dennis in 1:43, before dropping a 9-3 decision to Montoursville’s Aristotlis Bobotas in the quarterfinals. He’ll get Southern Columbia’s Rowen Humphrey in the elimination round Saturday morning.
