NTL SOFTBALL: CANTON FALLS TO CV (2024-03-26)

CANTON — Canton dropped a 21-2 loss to defending NTL Small School champions, CV, in four innings on Tuesday.

The Warriors got their two runs in the second, but were down 16-0 at that point.

Jaylee Ward (1-for-3) knocked in two runners, with Audrey Bastion (1-for-1) and Adriane Katona (1-for-2) each getting a hit. Addi Pepper and Alyssa May scored the two runs.

Tara Gilbert started, and went an inning, getting one strikeout in the loss. Ward went the next three innings, striking out four.

Ward would hit a two out single to score Pepper and May in the second.

Canton (1-2) will host NEB on Thursday.
